Who is to blame?
I blame King Leopald for the cause of the genocide. Even though the genocide didn't happen, till a long time after they pulled out of the country. I say this is the reason because when they colonized they supported the smaller community. So when the King left the smaller community wanted to stay in power but the larger one wanted an even community. Then this led to the start of the genocide, because the smaller one didn't have any backing power.

Defiance 2
I think the acts of the people are completely justified.Because need of the many out way the needs of the few. And if that means kill a person to feed a large group people. Than you kill that person for the food.

USAFM
One stage of genocide is symbolization that they used. An example of this is that the Jews had to wear the star of David. But that part didn't start till around the 1941. This is symbolization because everybody new if you were a jew because only jews had those or wore them.

Photo vs. My Photo
Poland Soccer Team
Back Row Left to Right: Coach Pat May, Alex Buckles, Evan Paul, Sam, Kevin McGrail, Tommy, Brandon, Bad Maupin, Manager Alex
Middle Row Left to Right: Chris Euble, Todd Kinderdine, Andrew Mirrow, Keith Prim, Grant Miller, Connor Emmel, Karran, Jason
Front Row Left to Right: Josh Pickrel, Tommy Seebacher, Arnold Vo, Brian, Kaden Fitzerald, Luis Williams, Garret Tucker
In Poland I think life was pretty normal for the Jews. They worked and had there own shops. But that changed once the Nazi's came in to Poland.
I discovered that the pictures they took. Are like the same of the ones that we are taking now a days. Just that ours are in color and there's are in black and white. I choose the picture of a soccer team. I did this because I like soccer a lot and that I have a picture that looks very similar to what they had.
Life is very similar because we could both play sports and live similar lives. The only difference is that they were Jewish and that the Nazi's came in and took them over. And most likely killed them because of there religion.

Kalisz, Poland
In 1931 there was 15,300 Jews in the city which was about 30% of the population according to the census that the town had before the war. The town was famous for producing textiles, and that the Jews had a vibrant religious culture. The town; Kalisz is located in Poland.
It came over by the rule of the Nazi power in the late 1930's. This is when Germany and the Russians just steam rolled over Poland. This was between September 1st and October 6th in 1939. When the Germans got to the city there was 20,000 Jews. Now there are 0.

Views on Genocide
My personal views on genocide has not changed. Meaning I still think its very bad. But I learned that its a lot more complicated to have one. And that now a days other country can step in and stop people from having it if they want to.

iWitness Activity
My persons name is Arpiar Missakian. His family was attacked when he was really young by the Turks. But he wasn't captured and deported till 1915 when he was in his early 20's.
In this picture I think he's feeling sadness. Because he went through a lot in the genocide and was captured very late in his life. Also he lost his family members in this madness.
After the genocide I think he came to the U.S. and served in the U.S. Marines. I say this because in the bottom photo he his holding different medals. And one of those medals, is the medal of the symbol of the U.S. Marines.

Classification/Symbolization
I don't think it really becomes a problem until step 3. Because that is when you start taking peoples humans rights and organizing them to be with them self.
